Troops discover illegal refining site in Rivers forest

On June 3, troops of Operation Delta Safe uncovered an illegal crude oil refining site in the Orashi National Forest in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State. They recovered equipment including two large drum ovens, two coolant systems, two receiver containers, two waste pits, and a 100-meter galvanized pipeline. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat crude oil theft and dismantle illegal refining camps in the Niger Delta.
