Despite receiving 80% of donor funds, two regions still rank lowest in literacy, FG raises alarm

The Federal Government expressed concern that despite attracting nearly 80% of development partners' investments in Nigeria's education sector, two geopolitical zones still record the lowest literacy and numeracy levels. Education Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa emphasized the urgent need for accurate and harmonized education data to guide government policies. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics indicate that the North-West and North-East are the most affected regions.
