Doreen Cherop upsets Brenda Jepchirchir to claim dramatic Durban 10K victory

Kenyan Doreen Cherop won the Absa Run Your City Durban 10K in 30:43, upsetting pre-race favorite Brenda Jepchirchir (30:52) and Beatrice Chepkoech (31:25). Cherop, aiming for a podium, surprised herself with the victory. South Africa's Tayla Kavanagh finished fourth in 31:28.
