Douala: A Fake Marabout with 'Magic Wallets' Arrested - Lebledparle

A fake marabout was arrested in Douala for scamming victims by promising quick wealth through 'magic wallets'. He extracted money from his targets, including a revival church pastor, in exchange for alleged rituals. Security forces have opened an investigation to determine the number of victims and sums collected, as well as possible accomplices. This type of scam is not new: in 2020, Cameroonian media had already warned about the proliferation of these 'magic wallets' on social networks.
