Construction work at Kamalondo market in Lubumbashi continues ahead of the relocation of traders displaced by the demolition of Mzée Kabila market. About a hundred wooden stalls are already installed, with finishing touches ongoing, especially in the toilets. Market administrator Chantal Kanin states that traders will soon move in, after suffering from a fire in 2022 that destroyed the previous market. Among the traders waiting to move is Nana Kabulo, who lost all her goods during the demolition and is awaiting a new space to resume her business.
