DRC: Martin Fayulu injured during protest against constitutional reform

Congolese opposition leader Martin Fayulu was injured on June 12, 2026, in Kinshasa during a sit-in against a constitutional reform bill passed by the National Assembly. Police dispersed the protest with tear gas, and government supporters threw stones. MP Delly Sesanga was also hit in the leg by police fire. The opposition condemns the move as a maneuver to rewrite the constitution before President Félix Tshisekedi's term ends.
