Duarttee's double not enough as Blitzboks fall to Great Britain in Bordeaux thriller

Ricky Duarttee scored two tries for South Africa but they lost 19-14 in golden-point extra time to Great Britain in their opening Pool A match at the Bordeaux Sevens. The Blitzboks, who were top of the SVNS standings, overcame a slow start and a serious injury to Jayden Nell to force the game into extra time, but ultimately fell to a battling Great Britain side fighting to retain their top-flight status.
