Yobe Police arrest 240 suspects, secure 198 convictions

The Yobe State Police Command arrested 240 suspects and secured 198 convictions between July and September 2026. Police Commissioner Usman Kanfani Jibrin reported 145 criminal cases, including 16 murders and 9 rapes. Operations also led to the arrest of 171 narcotics-related suspects and the recovery of dangerous weapons. One suspect was arrested for fraud involving 77 million Naira.
