'NYSC here to stay' - Pioneer DG, Colonel Ali

Colonel Ahmadu Ali (Rtd), the pioneer Chief Executive of the National Youth Service Corps, declared that the Scheme is here to stay. During a meeting with the current Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, he emphasized the NYSC's role in promoting national unity and expressed pride in its positive impact over the past five decades. Ali also praised General Yakubu Gowon's visionary leadership, which established the NYSC in 1973.
