The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has activated automated traffic cameras in Nairobi to enforce speed limits and issue digital penalties via SMS. Speed limits vary: 110 km/h on parts of Thika Superhighway, 50 km/h in residential areas, and 30 km/h near schools. The system was previously halted by the High Court but resumed after legal clearance.
