Lualaba: In Mulondo, Mines Minister Establishes a New Model for Peaceful Coexistence Among Artisanal Miners

Mines Minister Louis Watum Kabamba oversaw the November 2, 2026, reinstatement of artisanal miners from the Comikan cooperative at the Mulondo mining site, about 42 kilometers southeast of Kolwezi. The minister called for organized coexistence in accordance with the law, and Comikan’s director urged miners to act responsibly and follow site rules.
