UNIOSUN secures $60,000 grant for mosquito research

Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has secured a $60,000 research grant from the US Naval Medical Research Unit 3 (NAMRU-3) to support mosquito surveillance and research activities across selected Nigerian states. The grant was awarded to Dr Dapo Adeogun from the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology, with support from other vector experts. The project aims to improve understanding of mosquito populations and provide data to aid public health efforts against vector-borne diseases.
