EACC Details Process of How Recovered Public Money Is Returned to Government Use

The EACC clarified that recovered public funds are transferred to the National Treasury, deposited into the Consolidated Fund, and allocated through the national budget via the Exchequer system. Recently, EACC recovered over Ksh 65.3 million from a Nairobi County official. The funds are not distributed directly to citizens or retained by EACC.
