In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the recent Ebola outbreak has resulted in over a hundred deaths. While there is a vaccine for the Zaire strain, the current outbreak is caused by the Bundibugyo strain, for which no vaccine is available. Nita Bharti, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, believes that the death toll may be much higher due to the delayed identification of the outbreak.
