The Ebola epidemic in eastern DRC continues to spread. According to the INSP, as of June 8, 2026, 515 confirmed cases and 91 deaths have been recorded in Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces. Ituri remains the epicenter with 17 affected health zones out of 36. Katwa, Beni, and Butembo are active hotspots in North Kivu, while Miti-Murhesa in South Kivu has 3 cases.
