Ugandan health authorities are about to discharge the last Ebola patient, a decisive step in fighting the virus. This recovery will mark the start of a 42-day surveillance period required by WHO. According to the Ministry of Health, the outbreak caused 2 deaths and 17 recoveries among 20 reported cases, including 5 local transmissions and 15 imported cases, all linked to the rare Bundibugyo strain. Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of Congo faces a more serious situation with over 2,000 cases.
