Ebola: Oyo Govt. assures residents of safety amid concerns

The Oyo State Government, through Health Commissioner Dr Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, assured residents of its readiness to prevent, detect, and respond to any potential threat of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). This follows recent Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and confirmed cases in Uganda. No cases have been recorded in Nigeria, but surveillance has been strengthened across all 33 local government areas, and the EVD Technical Working Group has been activated. The commissioner urged residents to remain vigilant and report any symptoms, while advising against panic.
