Ebola: Securing Treatment Sites in Ituri

In Ituri, security has been reinforced around Ebola treatment centers and health facilities in Bunia and within the province. A mobile base of MONUSCO peacekeepers has been deployed in Mongbwalu to protect health workers and medical facilities. Police are guarding sites to prevent incidents, especially after attacks during a burial in Bunia. Acts of resistance are decreasing thanks to awareness campaigns against misinformation.
