ECOWAS: China delivers new headquarters in Abuja, a $56.5 million project

China officially delivered the new headquarters of the ECOWAS Commission in Abuja, funded with $56.5 million. Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, emphasized the significance of this achievement for China-ECOWAS relations. ECOWAS Commission President Omar Alieu Touray highlighted the economic opportunities that could arise from this partnership, particularly in the agricultural sector. Construction began in October 2023, with full operational service expected in 2026.
