Education: High Schools and Colleges in Yaoundé Closed During the Pope's Visit

High schools and colleges in Yaoundé will be closed from April 14 to 19, 2026, due to the visit of Pope Léon XIV. The departmental delegate for secondary education in Mfoundi, Alain Louis Nama Essomba, announced the suspension of all academic and administrative activities, including remedial classes. No gatherings of students will be allowed during this period.
