Trump blasts Norway over Nobel Peace Prize snub

At a rally in Port Huron, Michigan, Donald Trump called Norway a “shit house country” and said he did not want Norwegian immigrants in the United States because he had not received the Nobel Peace Prize. South African judge and former UN human rights chief Navi Pillay received the prize this year, a choice Trump called disgraceful and embarrassing. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide responded by emphasizing that the Nobel Committee is independent. No new US policy on Norwegian immigrants was announced.
