The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced a new natural gas discovery in the Nile Delta, with an estimated production of 50 million cubic feet per day. This discovery was made through the drilling of the exploration well 'Nidoco N-2', operated by Eni and BP. The well's proximity to existing infrastructure will allow for a quick connection to the network and early production. Egypt is seeking to compensate for the decline of its mature fields, particularly the Zohr field, whose production has decreased in recent years.
