El-Rufai's detention killed his mother - Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, alleged that the incarceration of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was responsible for his mother's death. El-Rufai was detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission for corruption and lost his mother while in custody. Okonkwo stated that the emotional distress caused by her son's arrest may have contributed to the death of the 90-year-old woman.
