Electricity: FG sets up committee to tackle gas to power challenge

The Federal Government has inaugurated a Gas-to-Power Monitoring Committee to address gas supply challenges affecting electricity generation in Nigeria. Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, noted that gas-fired power plants account for about 80% of the country's electricity generation but face disruptions and mounting debts. The committee will focus on repairing damaged pipelines and settling debts to suppliers.
