Electricity: NISO cuts transmission losses to 7.05%, pushes grid stability reforms

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Abdu Mohammed Bello, announced that transmission losses on the national grid have dropped to 7.05%, down from nearly 10% at the agency's inception. This reduction is attributed to targeted operational interventions aimed at improving efficiency. NISO is also implementing Internet of Things technologies to enhance market transparency and operational efficiency.
