Emergency medical services critical to ending maternal, infant mortality - Gov Otti

The Abia State Government has launched a Rural Emergency Services and Maternal Transport System to protect the lives of mothers and newborns. Professor Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche stated that this initiative aims to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality, particularly in high-mortality areas such as Obingwa, Bende, and Ukwa East. Ambulances have been deployed to ensure quick access to emergency care.
