Emirates promotes first female pilots | Inspires the next generation of Emirati women in aviation

Emirates has promoted two Emirati female pilots, Hanan Mohammed Jawad and Bakhita Al Mheiri, to captains on the Boeing 777 fleet. Both started as cadets in Emirates' National Cadet Pilot Programme, in 2008 for Hanan and 2011 for Bakhita. Hanan has accumulated 9,253 flying hours and said she was inspired at age 14 by the UAE's first female pilot. This promotion represents a key step in empowering Emirati women in aviation.
