Oyo abduction: Submit yourself for investigation over N7.7b surveillance aircrafts deal, others - APC tackles Makinde

The Oyo State APC accused Governor Seyi Makinde of multiple scandals and demanded he submit to investigation, in response to his call for UN intervention over the abduction of students and teachers. The APC listed alleged diversion of local government funds, killings in Igangan, a N7.7 billion surveillance aircraft deal, a fire-fighting truck scam, a N50 billion Bodija explosion relief fund, and the Agbowo Shopping Complex contract. Makinde had called on the UN to investigate the May abduction, whose victims were rescued on Friday.

FCC warns MDAs against recruitment without approval

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has warned Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) against conducting recruitment, promotions or other personnel-related exercises without the Commission's involvement, warning violators risk sanctions.
