The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has cancelled public hearings on electricity tariff reviews after Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) withdrew its application. Current retail tariffs remain unchanged. Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi announced the decision followed government consultations. KPLC had applied for a tariff review on March 31, 2026, set to take effect from July 2026 to June 2029.
