Eritrea’s AFCON place in doubt after players disappear in South Africa

Eritrea's participation in the Africa Cup of Nations preliminaries is in doubt after seven of their ten local players disappeared following their victory against Eswatini on March 31. The players went missing during the team's return journey to South Africa while en route to Egypt. Out of the 24 squad members, only three players returned, leaving a mystery surrounding the events that occurred after the match.
