State Police: Falana, Gani Adams, others call for proper management

Legal expert Femi Falana called for a well-structured mechanism for state police to ensure effectiveness during the Fifth Yinka Odumakin Memorial Lecture in Ikeja. He warned that without such a structure, state police could be used as a tool for oppression. Lanre Arogundade, President of the International Press Centre, emphasized the need for a people-focused approach to state policing. Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, expressed his support for establishing a well-structured state police for the benefit of citizens.
