Ethiopian Airlines will launch non-stop flights between Addis Ababa and Port Louis, Mauritius, from July 12, operating three times weekly with a Boeing 737 MAX 8. The move is aimed at capturing passenger flows between Europe, India and Mauritius disrupted by the conflict in the Middle East, which has reduced the attractiveness of traditional Gulf transit hubs like Dubai and Doha. Analysts note that African traffic to Mauritius remains limited, with South Africa accounting for the largest share.
