Economic Expertise: CEMAC Tested by the New African Chief Economists Network

The African Development Bank (AfDB) and UNDP launched the African Chief Economists Network (ACE-Network) on July 12, 2026 in Abidjan at the African Economic Conference 2026. The network aims to bring together chief economists, central bank officials, and advisers to coordinate economic assessments. For CEMAC, it could accelerate the circulation of analyses and their translation into decisions, but the continent struggles to turn recommendations into public action.
