Comrades 2026: Gerda Steyn chases historic fifth crown on Durban to PMB Up Run

Gerda Steyn, four-time Comrades Marathon champion, will attempt to win a historic fifth title in the 2026 edition, a grueling 85.777km Up Run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg. She will face tough challengers including Kenya's Shelmith Muriuki and former Olympian Irvette van Zyl. In the men's race, three-time winner Tete Dijana aims for his first Up Run victory. Over 21,000 runners are expected for the 99th edition.
