Labour Party hails INEC over inclusion of candidate in Enugu North by-election

The Labour Party (LP) has commended Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for rectifying the omission of its candidate from the Enugu North senatorial by-election scheduled for June 20, 2026. In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary Ken Eluna Asogwa, the party noted that INEC had initially left out the LP and its candidate despite full compliance with legal requirements. Following discussions with the Commission's leadership, the oversight was corrected. The party is now fully prepared to contest the election and provide credible representation to the people.
