Murkomen, Sakaja Head to New York, London for Nairobi Metro Police Benchmarking

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja will lead delegations to New York and London next week for a benchmarking trip ahead of the formation of a Nairobi Metropolitan Police Unit. Sakaja mentioned that the government has consulted with the police departments of New York and London, as well as officials in Rome. Although the unit is expected to be operational by July, Sakaja expressed doubts about whether the two levels of government would meet this timeline.
