CAN 2027: The 5 potential hosts at the last minute, Algeria declines!

Due to delays in infrastructure and preparations in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, CAF considered several countries as last-minute hosts for CAN 2027, including Morocco, South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, and Ivory Coast. However, Algeria has stated it will not submit a bid, focusing instead on developing its football. Despite having modern stadiums and hosting the 2022 CHAN, Algeria has only hosted the Africa Cup of Nations once in 1990, which they won. The CAF remains confident in the original host countries despite the delays.
