Fake ophthalmologist in Kaolack: How the police caught S. A. M. Mboup

S. A. M. Mboup was arrested in Kaolack for impersonation and fraud. He posed as the assistant of an ophthalmologist at the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Regional Hospital. He scammed 90,000 CFA francs via Wave from a patient and his son by claiming to cover eye surgery costs. He was arrested after his explanations aroused suspicion and confessed. The investigation continues to identify other victims.
