FCT: Wike visits site of collapsed hotel, orders arrest of owner, contractor

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, visited the site of the collapsed Ugo West Hotel in Jikwoyi, Abuja, and ordered the immediate arrest of the building's owner and contractor. He described the collapse, which occurred while the hotel was still under construction, as unacceptable and a result of negligence. Wike also assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to determine the causes of the collapse, warning that anyone found culpable would face legal consequences.
