Félix Tshisekedi aims to make Nkamba a holy city

During the Council of Ministers on April 10, 2026, Félix Tshisekedi instructed the Government to initiate the official recognition process of Nkamba as a holy city. This initiative aims to preserve the spiritual character of the site, regulate pilgrimage activities, protect its religious heritage, and enhance its international prominence. Nkamba is recognized as a significant spiritual and historical site in the Democratic Republic of Congo, serving as the global pilgrimage center for the Kimbanguist Church.
