Félix Tshisekedi launches DR Congo into an 'inclusive national dialogue'

President Félix Tshisekedi announced, through Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo, an 'inclusive, peaceful and resolutely republican national dialogue' to strengthen national cohesion. The announcement was made on July 17, 2026, after a meeting with religious leaders in Kinshasa. Ambongo welcomed the initiative and called on all Congolese to unite against Rwandan aggression.
