Police Announce Road Closures in Nairobi CBD for Ruto’s KICC, City Hall Events

The Kenya Police Service warned the public of temporary traffic disruptions in Nairobi's CBD on April 9, 2026, due to two major events: the Africa Urban Forum at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) and a historic address by William Ruto to the Nairobi County Assembly. Roads such as City Hall Way and sections of Wabera Street will be closed for security reasons. Ruto's address will be the first by a Head of State to a County Assembly since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution.
