FG, UNICEF unveil GenU 9JA secretariat, target 20m youths by 2030

On March 31, 2026, the National Secretariat of Generation Unlimited Nigeria, GenU 9JA, was inaugurated within the Office of the Vice President, demonstrating the Federal Government's strong commitment to youth empowerment. Since its launch in 2021, GenU 9JA has reached over 11 million young people nationwide, with a target of reaching 20 million by 2030. This secretariat, co-led by the Office of the Vice President and UNICEF, will serve as a coordination hub to develop policies focused on skills, employment, and digital inclusion.
