Two dead and nine missing in a landslide in Walikale

A landslide that occurred on May 12 in the village of Robe, in the Ihana grouping, resulted in two deaths and nine people missing. Heavy rains the night before are believed to have caused the collapse of part of the Irongi hill. Search operations have recovered two bodies, while survivors were evacuated to Kibua hospital. The Kakambi Youth Committee is calling for logistical support to continue the search and clear the blocked Kuko riverbed.
