LaLiga: Real Madrid confirm date Mourinho will officially join club

Real Madrid have announced that José Mourinho will officially become their new manager on July 13, the start of preseason for the 2026/2027 campaign. The La Liga club will pay a €15m compensation fee to Benfica. Mourinho has signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2029, as confirmed by the board of directors chaired by Florentino Pérez.
