Songon: 47,000 m³ of water per day, but challenges persist in distribution

During his visit to the Songon water treatment plant on April 29, 2026, Minister Amédé Kouakou confirmed a daily production of 47,000 m³ of drinking water. Although the infrastructure is generally functioning well, challenges persist due to rapid urbanization and damaged pipelines. The minister emphasized the importance of ensuring that the population has actual access to this water, especially in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire.
