Flooding: Visit victims, affected communities - Group tells Akwa Ibom gov

The Center for Human Rights and Accountability Network (CHRAN) has called on Governor Umo Eno to personally visit communities and families who lost valuables and lives in last week’s flood incident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The governor had earlier commiserated and ordered desilting of drain channels, but CHRAN says a press release is not enough. The group also urges NEMA, AKSEMA, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, corporate bodies, and faith-based institutions to support relief efforts.
