Four dead and 24 injured in the derailment of the Warri-Itakpe train in Nigeria

The derailment of the Warri-Itakpe train on June 8, 2026 near Agbor, Delta State, killed four people – two women, one man and an infant – and left 24 seriously injured. The train carried 482 people: 442 passengers and 40 crew, security and service personnel.
