An EasyJet plane flying from Venice to Paris had to abort its landing at Paris-Orly Airport on April 5, 2026, due to fireworks being launched from a wedding procession in Villeneuve-le-Roi. The captain initiated a go-around after seeing explosions. A mortar may have struck the aircraft, although this has not been confirmed by the Créteil prosecutor's office. The investigation has been assigned to the Air Transport Gendarmerie, and charges could be filed for endangering lives.
