France: Lafarge Found Guilty of Terrorism Financing in Syria

A French court has convicted Lafarge and several of its former executives for financing terrorism in Syria between 2013 and 2014. The court found that the company paid over five million euros to jihadist groups, including ISIS, to keep its factory operational. Former CEO Bruno Lafont was sentenced to six years in prison, while other executives received sentences ranging from 18 months to seven years. Lafarge was also fined over one million euros.
